With over ten years experience as both an Ecological Clerk of Works (EcCoW) and Environmental Clerk of Works (ECoW), and as a full accredited member of The Association of Environmental & Ecological Clerks of Works (AEECoW) – the qualifying body for both EcCow and ECoW roles, Wren Ecology is well placed to offer these services for clients requiring site supervision; either on an occasional basis or throughout the construction phase.

Wren Ecology has the appropriate training and qualifications to undertake ecological and environmental management on construction sites; being accredited with the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) as a ‘Professionally Qualified Person’. CSCS is the leading skills certification scheme within the UK construction industry and CSCS cards provide proof that individuals working on construction sites have the required training and qualifications for the type of work they carry out.

Wren Ecology will tailor site supervision to the client’s particular requirements to ensure that it is cost effective, whilst verifying that site-specific ecological/environmental mitigation measures, best practice and planning requirements are complied with.

All site visits are individually documented to provide a consistent photographic record of site activity and the status of sensitive receptors (i.e. habitats and species). The reports also include observations and will document the contractor’s adherence to ecological/environmental mitigation, Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs) or other pertinent ecological documentation.
